Yeah, I get where it’s coming from but it doesn’t make that much sense to me.

Considering the age gap between them and how Bane saved Talia from the prison, I think his love for her is not romantic but the love of a friend with some parental feelings. That’s not to say Talia would not be able to love Bane romantically, it’s just that Bane’s feelings for her might not be the same. Also, I just didn’t feel any romance between them in the movie.
